Register to push initiator fails with errir code 1. Connection refused

Hi,

I installed the push collector sample app on my Z10 device. I installed the push initiator sample and sent the push message from that. But on my device when I register, it gives the error " Subscribe to the push initiator failed with error code:1. Reason:Connection refused".

Any idea what could be the issue?

Thanks for the help.

- Sj

Re: Register to push initiator fails with errir code 1. Connection refused

It sounds like an issue with connecting to the network. Are you using WiFi or a cellular data connection? Are you able to browse the Internet from the device browser?

Re: Register to push initiator fails with errir code 1. Connection refused

Thank You Garett. I was able to resolve this issue by providing the address field in the push initiator link as "push_all". I could find it out from the forum. It would be really good if these things are documented in the documentation part itself, so that users don't need to run around the website to see how to configure it.

Re: Register to push initiator fails with errir code 1. Connection refused

Sorry, could you clarify? "push_all" is only useful from the push initiator (server) however the Push Collector is only a client. As well that field would have no bearing on the connection being accepted.
