Hi Simon, I just start with push notification. I want to test this example and I have some questions:

 

  1. I changed APP_ID, PUSH_PORT but I don't know how can I change CONNECTION_SUFFIX ?
  2. What is the result of this example what should I obtain?
  3. There are SDK push tool how I use this SDK and when ?

How can get pushnotifications using normal TCPIP connection.

is it possible to get pushnotifications using wifi or normal data plan.

Without a BIS account, RIM wont know how to deliver a push notification to you. 

You get this account if you have a blackberry data plan. This data plan is offered by carrier and they can access the RIM servers. Push messages to you will come from the RIM server to your carrier and then to you. Without the Blackberry data plan, RIM will not know how it can send you messages. So you can't use only wifi.

Thank you for the replay.

but in facebook i saw that i got notifications throw wifi on that device no simcard. i am just using the facebook application that is my test device.

 

so is there any chance to get Notifications.
