I hope get that the  developer can use this push message via BIS or only can use BES?

Yes, Put in the IP address that will be the source of your push requests. If your running a linux server with multiple IP addresses it is the first IP in your address pool. The IP address will be whitelisted on RIM's side and it will be the only IP address allowed to send push notifications.

IP address Re: The free push service. Push essentials also can push message via BIS

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I sign up the Push Service essentials with my public ip address.

But my server is using intranet ip address like 192.168.0.6, which mapped to the public ip address on firewall.

Is it ok?

In another word, does my push server need using public ip address physically?

Thank you!

Answer my own question,  after testing, it is ok to use intranet ip address like 192.168.0.6, which mapped to the public ip address on firewall.

Thanks.

Just use your external IP address. The best way to find this is http://www.whatismyip.com
