10 OS Software release 10.2.1.537

I have been downloading and installing the 10 OS Software release 10.2.1.537 for wo hours now, does this seem normal? I don't have a 'great' internet connection, but its good enough. I need to know how long this should take? I should be notified ahead of time how long it might take? I have a message that says not to disconnect from a power supply during the process? Does that mean battery power or must it be plugged in? Thanks Help?

It's a very large file it has to download....in the neighborhood of 600MB-1.0GB. If your Internet connection is slow that could slow it down.

You should leave the device plugged in while doing the update.

How about a warning ahead of time?

That's like telling you that if you drive on a residential street with a 25mph speed limit it will take you longer to get to your destination than if you take the freeway. You already know that.

It does tell you the size of the download before it starts and tells you you need to be on wifi.

So, has it finished?

Kinda snarky response there buddy. Yes it's done now, but not until after I had to restart because it didn't calculate space needed on the front end.

I was only referring to your Internet connection speed.

It is supposed to calculate space required. For whatever reason yours didn't. Glad it's working.

Re: 10 OS Software release 10.2.1.537

The file I downloaded was just under 500mg.

In my experience this was the fastest part of the process, the update takes up to an hour and then a further hour to reboot and for the hub and other services to get up to speed.
