It's been quite a transition from my BB 9810 (Torch) to the Q10 - 24 hours of frustration and curiosity!
So here's my experience with the following - hope it helps someone:
Transferring Calendar: The Link software leaves much to be desired! It took 2 tries to get my calendar items in, and it's messed up. Most of it's in. Used the "Transfer Data" function.
Contacts: No matter what I did, they refused to appear, but seemed to be somewhere in the phone....Couldn't find them.... Was going to try yet again...but discovered when i re-booted my phone, they magically appeared.... No need to pull the battery or SD card...I don't want to have to start doing that again...
File Properties: Some of you might have liked to "hide" option in File Properties that was available in the old OS...well guess what, this features is GONE!! We are now on the same footing as iPhone and Android...ugh. The solution is to install the "Hide Files" App from Blackberry World. Simple and works well.
Picture & Video folders: So you have transferred all your photos from either your computer, or the phone has recognized your micro SD...guess what??? They all appear in your "Recently Added" or "Recently Viewed" folders in either your Picture or Video folders.... And guess what? They won't go away...the list goes on and on and on. As I cleaned up my folder, they still appeared.... Frustratied??? I was beyond belief.... Solution - re-boot your phone - photos are re-indexed and any deleted picture/video, audio file disappears.
Overall solution: re-starting/re-booting your phone seems to solve some initial installation issues and problems with caching of files that no longer exist.
I hope this helps someone out there! All of these little things drove me nuts over the last 24 hours.
Despite the fact that BB has taken some simple features of the old OS systems, we still have a keyboard, and now i think it's fair to say this phone can complete with the Superphones out there.

I went to the ATT store to move by stuff from my 9810 to q10 and they said they could not do it so I backed it up on my desk top and now how do I transfer it to my q10..........I hate the service at ATT they are all blackberry ignorant.

I'm not ususally a big fan of the desktop software but in this case I did find that if you plug in your old BlackBerry after installing the link desktop software there is a way of getting most of your stuff backed up and then transfered over to new BlackBerry. It sort of worked lost a few things but managed to get all my contacts and calendar entries which were the biggies for me. Sorry memory like a goldfish but it was pretty straight forward so I wouldn't worry too much and I think it even walks you thru the process.
