Re: BlackBerry World Not Connecting After SW SO Update

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

"SO"...hmmm...not quite sure I recognize that acronym. Regardless, with a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):

1) Register HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
  • Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive

2) Reboot

  • Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
  • BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
  • See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

Good luck!

Re: BlackBerry World Not Connecting After SW SO Update

I want to use this medium to thank you for your support, however following your feedback I tried all the options and your recommendations my BlackBerry can not still connect to BlackBerry world, like I said early I upgraded my Q10 software 10 OS to 10.2.0.424 and this made my BlackBerry not to connect to BlackBerry world, I have been to my network provider O2 Ireland to change my sim card and the O2 customer have reset my BlackBerry Q10 settings but I can not connect to BlackBerry world.. prior before the OS upgrade my BlackBerry works perfect.. Is there any thing else I could do please!

Re: BlackBerry World Not Connecting After SW SO Update

Nope...given what you describe, I believe you need to continue to work with your mobile service provider, and perhaps seek formal escalation (only they can do that) to BlackBerry for enhanced support.

Good luck!

Re: BlackBerry World Not Connecting After SW SO Update

Hello!

How much time is it supposed to take before receiving the Registration notice? It as been over 30 minutes by now.

Thank you very much!

Re: BlackBerry World Not Connecting After SW SO Update

It should be pretty much immediate, but since it's coming from your mobile service provider, only they can tell you for sure. I have noticed that sometimes the message comes so quick after the "queued" message that if you aren't watching, you can miss it. But if it doesn't arrive, then only your mobile service provider can look into it.

Good luck!

Oh yes, that's right. You really must not blink, because you barely have time to read it!

Thanks again!
