External memory

The manual advises the max external memory is 32GB.  The web says that the Q will take 64GB.  Will it take both SDHC and SDXC?

Thanks.

Re: External memory

Yes, it will take both. If you use an SDXC make sure you format the card in the device after you insert it.

Re: External memory

So my Q10 can handle microSD 64 GB ?

I got the microSD 64GB card from Blackberry but it only gives me 27,4GB :smileysad: very disappointing

Re: External memory

You must format the card in the device in order to see more than 32GB.

Re: External memory

You MUST format it directly on the device.

From the home screen swipe down and to go to Settings.

Scroll down to Storage and Access. At the bottom is a button to Format Media card. Make sure there is nothing on it you want to keep before formatting it.

Re: External memory

Yes it will take both.  I have a 64GB SDXC card in my Q10 and it works great.

Now, if someone will come up with an app that allows us to run apps from the SD card that would be great.  They are available for other operating systems why not for the 10?

Re: External memory

I only see Details device storage.. but when I inserted the card, I saw a notification that my device saw the SD card.

I have the feeling that my Q10 don't see the SD card at all
