Failure to commit changes to device - Calendar

Hi All,

Got the new Q10, and set up BB link. All syncs have been flawless until I downloaded a recent upgrade and now I can't sync my calendar.

Found a few old posts (seems that this has been a problem for a while) but nothing I've tried has worked?

All I get is "failure to commit changes to device"

Has anyone solved this?

Thanks

Re: Failure to commit changes to device - Calendar

Hi,

Same issue. Has been ongoing for weeks and making me crazy...er.

I've uninstalled and re-installed BBLink.

Reset settings to default

Re-confirmed accounts to sync

Set Access to Storage from Autodetect to Connect to Windows

  and back again
Disconnect and reconnect BB

Restart computer

....and still no change.

Failed to commit changes to device.

Any and all assistance is appreciated.

Re: Failure to commit changes to device - Calendar

[ Edited ]

Hi,

Made some headway and everything seems to be working correctly now.

My problem appeared to stem from Outlook rather than BB Link. I'm not sure how the sync became corrupt, but I had to reset my primary account in Outlook.

I have multiple email accounts. There should be a clear distinction which account associates your calendar and contacts. Once I re-established my primary account in Outlook, the sync began to work again.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

Not sure how to "re-established my primary account in Outlook". Still think the recent update from BB is the problem.

Re: Failure to commit changes to device - Calendar

I resolved the problem by re-setting the sync settings and then re-configuting the settings in BlackBerry Link.

Re: Failure to commit changes to device - Calendar

I rsolved the issue by not using BB link to sync, it drives me crazy for years.

After every update there is a sync problem, how difficult can this be??

So I use Gmail's Contacts and Calendar on BB.

Outlook sync with Gmail via "Google Calendar Sync" and "Go Contact Sync Mod"

Still BB is having problems in contact sync, I do not understand why, Whereever I open or sync Gmail contacts there are 1800 contacts and when I open it from BB, there are 1791, 9 are missing. Cna not find which ones and why

Re: Failure to commit changes to device - Calendar

My carrier (Rogers) tech suggested restoring the BBQ10 to factory settings and re-syncing.

Tried it over the weekend and it seems to have worked.
