I used my old charger.

Hi guys

Just a quick question. Last night, while half asleep, I put my Q10 on charge with the charger from my Bold 9700. Will this have had a negative affect on my battery?

Thanks.

Re: I used my old charger.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Probably not...the older chargers deliver lower power output than the charger for the Q10. Typically, all that would mean is that it would take longer to charge. But don't make a habit of it, and (just in case) watch closely for any deviation from your "normal" range of how your battery has been functioning.

Good luck!

Re: I used my old charger.

The problem would most likely be the other way round the Q10 charger may overload the Bold. I often don't take my charger when travelling but just charge off my PC USB, takes a while longer but works fine

incorrect, the Bold has a current limiting feature to only allow about 1200 ma charge if supplied

The BlackBerry premium charger (aka PlayBook charger)  can supply 1800 ma and I used it for a year on my 9860 with out issue.
