Q10 direct from Rim

Hey I need some advice. Someone is selling a Q10 unlocked that they say they got direct from Rim. I asked about warranty and they said its with them directly. Should I stay away from this deal. Your input would be great

Re: Q10 direct from Rim

I'd be skeptical. It could be a developer unit, and BlackBerry often expects those units to be returned when the model is released to the public. In the past BlackBerry has turned off the PIN of such devices, rendering data services inaccessible. With BB10 this all might be different now, but unless you're getting a steal of a deal and are willing to accept some risk, I'd stay clear.

Re: Q10 direct from Rim

BlackBerry (formerly RIM) does hand out evaluation units and any support required comes directly from them via toll-free phone support.

You could accept the phone but I would ask for a one-week trial before you pay.

Cheers. :smileyhappy:
