Retail Display / Demo Mode: How to turn off

Hello, I recently got a Q10 from a seller on ebay and the unit is in DEMO / RETAIL DISPLAY MODE; can anyone tell me how to turn this off so I can use the phone?

Or should I just reload the OS using Link or Sachessi? Would that do the trick?

Thanks.

Retail display mode is under:

Settings>Display>Advanced

Re: Retail Display / Demo Mode: How to turn off

Yes I know that from a friend's Z10 and I tried 'tinkering' with it (putting it on) to see what would happen, and it asked me for carrier/operator code.

Now the question is: if it is already on on a phone, and I try to turn it off, would I still be asked for the operator code?

Also because the retail display mode is on on this Q10, I can't even access the settings for the phone, so how do I disable it or close it?

See this:

http://ca.blackberry.com/content/dam/blackBerry/pdf/support/northAmerica/english/BlackBerry07036_Ret...

the password to enter demo mode is "instoredemo".  From there you have to select a password.  You may not have access to that password on the device you have purchased.

Swipe down from the top bezel and select "close app" to shut down the demo, and use "instoredemo" as the password when prompted.

But yeah, in any case, reloading the OS should get rid of demo mode if you don't have access to the password.

Yeah, just like I figured, reloading the OS/flashing the phone did get rid of the Retail Display mode.
