Re: Why I'm giving up my Q10 to go back to the Bold 9900

Thanks JS, how did you get the OS? Has it rolled out everywhere internationally yet? It is encouraging to know Blackberry are working on improvements. I don't think you've complained about battery life to date but how does the new software compare in this area?

Leaked OS of course... check CB for it.

I've only had it loaded less than half a day on the Q10, so I can't honestly comment on battery life as it takes a couple of days for all the data syncing, etc., to settle down. I'll comment on that in a day or two.

JS In all of this you have been trying to help (like these software updates). There is just so much frustration from real staunch b&b users that the question I have for you and your colleagues is: What do you want us to do to get attention at the highest level at BB to fix this cf? My only route is the WSJ, but I'm open for your suggestions/advice. Thx Herman

Re: Why I'm giving up my Q10 to go back to the Bold 9900

JSanders,

Thanks for the update on OS 10.2.  Much appreciated!

Since I'm a T-Mobile subscriber, does Q10 OS 10.2 let you make UMA (i.e. voice over Wi-Fi calls) on T-Mo? Other T-Mo BlackBerrys (ones that have T-Mo "branding") can.

Can a Q10 make Skype calls over Wi-Fi?

As most of the folks indicated, we'd like to get BB's (RIM's) attention to get the fixes started, even though they come a bit at a time.

[ Edited ]

I looked at the list of what's coming with 10.2 and I am not all impressed, except for the translation from

Polish to English

Most of the stuff we all listed here were unaddressed. We'll see when we all download it.

I am still *unhappy* AT&T nor RIM won't take this back.

Re: Why I'm giving up my Q10 to go back to the Bold 9900

@ GeorgeB, I don't know about the UMA calling on 10.2, that has always been a TMO-specific offering only for TMO-branded devices. I know TMo customers do like that, I'll see what I can find out.

Yes, Skype works over WiFi on the Q10 on both 10.1 and 10.2

Re: Why I'm giving up my Q10 to go back to the Bold 9900

Hello all
After some time using bb10
I found it waste of time...
This is the last day i will used it before I throw it away...
I will give you some reason
First the battery got empty so fast
2nd text sms or BBM don't have enter key you would use shortcut to have it...
3rd when you use Skype check the permission you will not believe plus I couldn't change it.
4th WhatsApp hard to use I couldn't just simply start new conversion with new number... it is so easy in other devices...
5th we waste our time here to talk about something blackberry want to do that because I could not believe a company like blackberry couldn't fix our small concern...
6 have issue with voice calls and speaker
7 sometimes not responding
8 more issues that I am tired to talk about it since all what I talked about is only basic things

Honest speaking I use BlackBerry for 2 reason
1 email
2 bbm
The question are they worth this hard time
BlackBerry or any other company can easy make the wonderful device in all way
But they will never do
Simply because there will be no income anymore

My advice to who read my word now... if you are not happy with your device just throw it away and save your life
BlackBerry or any other company never listen to us unless if we have an idea that help them to take our money

Not fair at all to waste our time and money
Design z10 or q10 nice
software have some issues that they are working on it
But but but it is not practical

So final will have android for Skype and WhatsApp
BlackBerry for email and bbm
IPhone for those who have iPhone
Nokia not windows no take care only a 100 usd mobile if you want nothing and just save your mind and pocket use it to make calls and text for few years that's it

Game over
