What version of OS you have installed.
IF your evidences the persistence problem, make a backup with BBLINK.
Try doing a hard reset with the power button for 30 seconds.
If the problem evidences the persistence you'll have to do a reload of OS and OS upgrade to your BBQ5.

I am facing absolutely the same problem. I ahve recently purchased the Q5 on the 21st Nov 2013 and haad to replace the same dues to problem on the 22nd Nov. Now thiss new handset also have the same problem as mentioned below about the text messages. I have the latest version of the BB software version 10.2.0.424.
This is very sad to see that this is an inherent probem with this handset and BB is not taking considerations of the same.
I ahve always been a blackberry fan and not i am scared.

I am having the same problem - I have just done my software release (10.2.0.429) and it's still doing it. It freezes and can't do anything..... very very frustrating and I don't want to shut it off everytime. The price I pay for it, I want it to work!
It's the first time I buy a BB and I am thinking of changing it. This is too much trouble. I need someone to look into this and get back to me.

Just to let you know that I have deleted almost all my messages and it did not happen again. There should be something else we could do cause some messages I don't wnt to delete - for the price we pay, should be something else we could do?
