Re: Q5 - Delete all contacts

I don't think there is any way to delete them with one action but if you hold down your finger on the first one then choose the select more action from the context menu that appears you can select them all then hit delete.

Re: Q5 - Delete all contacts

I had figured the option of selecting them one by one. When i did my sync yesterday, my 1120 contacts just came up with a magic figure of 2240. duplicates were sync not sure why. I guess will have to restore an old file to make life easier. Meantime Blackberry developers will need to figure a wayout to make this possible. My old torch just worked fine, less trouble and much easier to handle.

Re: Q5 - Delete all contacts

I think deleting all of your contacts is something that the majority of users will rarely, if ever, do so I'm not surprised it's not available as an option.

If you explain your reason behind doing so maybe someone here can point out a way for you to having to avoid doing so?

For instance if you have skype installed that is known to duplicate contacts.

Re: Q5 - Delete all contacts

Try this, open your Contacts app.

Swipe down from the top bezel and tap SETTINGS.

On that screen, in the Show Contacts in Contact List, turn off ALL accounts to appear in your contacts list.

Now, tap the lower left BACK button and view your contacts.

You should be viewing ONLY what is called your LOCAL contacts. Scroll the very top, and view the total listed on at the top?

What is that number?

Re: Q5 - Delete all contacts

I have looked at this but this does not appear to delete all contacts from the device only "turns them off". I am getting a replacement phone and would like to delete them all ( i have backed up)
