The red X battery problem has been around for years now and Blackberry dont provide a fix for it. They wonder why stock market prices drop and people shift to Apple. Its a software problem but they keep saying battery, which is total BS

If it's a software problem, reloading the OS with BlackBerry Desktop Software should resolve the issue. Keep in mind that the Storm is years old and BlackBerry has improved greatly since then. You'd probably be best to drop your Storm in favor of a BB10 phone like the Q10 or the Z30.

Phone needs to be going before program sees it.
Edit: why would i purchase another phone whn the support for this phone seems non existant. These phones are still being sold new around the world, and until stocks deminish, Blackberry still has an obligation to rectify problems.

Never been charged on any other source.. tried new charger, new battery, updating os. all to no aveil ..
Even when updating os, it stops because of the battery fault indicator.
Have since purchased an Iphone 5. After nearly 5 years of owning Blackberries,
I would no longer trust purchasing or recommending them to others.
