Ok  my storm wont let me do a back up file..  it says "ERROR BACKING UP DATABASE"

pls help my pone keeps frezzing and turn it self and i would like to do a back up so i dont loss all my data.

If you connect the device to the pc and Blackberry desktop Manager, the program can see your phone?

This is usually solved by clearing the Browser Cache before you backup.

Open Desktop Manager and click on "Backup and Restore".  Then Click on "Advanced"

On the Right side are "Device Databases"  Scroll down and select "Browser Data Cash", then click on "Clear".

You can then go back to Backup and Restore and Backup your Strom.

this can be closed.... i sorted the issue out.. sounds dum but i did nto notice that my coworker had his bb pulg in to the othere usb port.. unpluged his and worked great.. did my back up.

I had the same error today. I done what the forum person said and then I was able to backup my Storm. Thank you! KUDOS
