9550 Outlook Contact sync

I am trying to sync organizer data with MS Outlook and cannot select either "Contacts" or "Calendar" on the Desktop Software Organizer tab...it says "syncing wirelessly"...please help me to turn this on...


Really important that someone at RIM answer this...have seen other posts and need answer today...

Hi and Welcome to the Community!


First, check here (on your BB):

  • Homescreen > Calendar > Logo_Blue.gif > Options > (select your calendar...may be "Default")
  • Homescreeen > Contacts > Logo_Blue.gif > Options > (select your contact list...may be "Default")

In those screens will be a selection for Wireless Synchronization...what does it say?


If you are not on BES and are not using one of the BIS-supported OTA calendar/contact synch services, then that should be "Off" or perhaps "Not Available"...it definitely should not be "On" or anything similar.


Then try again in the Desktop Software to configure wired synchronization.
