Re: APP WORLD Access

CBroda, here are the steps to follow to use another payment type other than PayPal.

Open your AppWorld app on your phone.  Click My World in the botton righthand corner.  Press the menu key, which is the BB button to the left of the trackpad.  Select Payment Options and log into AppWorld with your BlackBerry ID.  Any payment options, which may include credit card or payment through your carrier, will be listed there.

- If my response has helped you, please click "Options" beside my post and mark it as solved. Clicking the "thumbs up" icon near the bottom of my response would also be appreciated.

Re: APP WORLD Access

OK - Round and round we go.

So, for some reason I am trying this again.  It's a new day, daylight savings time is in effect -  maybe we are all feeling better.

So I first upgrade my phone OS (had previous issues with the upgrade but tried one more time and it seems to be OK).  Now for some reason I do get to go to the PayPal page.

I login there, authorize payments to RIM.  So far so good.  Click the button to go back to RIM.

RIM says I am logging in with the wrong email address at Paypal and need to login using what they consider the correct one - WHICH IS THE SAME ONE I'VE BEEN LOGGING IN WITH ALL ALONG!

Could it be my passwords are different at each?  Whay is this so difficult?  How soon can I get an Android phone???????

Re: APP WORLD Access

Tried this - my AppWorld app on my phone can't log me in.

No payment options available.  Can't download any apps.

I just have to stop trying this.  I am losing precious hours of the life I have left on this planet dealing with this frustration.  I feel sorry for all those folks who are not very tech saavy.  I happen to be pretty good with technology and I am ready to throw my BlackBerry out the window over a stupid little app.

Re: APP WORLD Access

OK so now I am stuck.  I have tried all suggestions.

I am in a crazy-making loop.

One question - is there anyway to access my account information at appWorld from my computer?  I would like to just delete the account.

Maybe someday I will try again and create a new account and just start over.

Re: APP WORLD Access

Because I am very stubborn I tried it one more time.  And it worked!

I have no idea why.

That said, I will never buy another app here again - I can't afford three hours for each app.

Thanks for the help, BillJ - maybe your suggestion worked - I was finally able to get to my AppWorld account on my phone.

Who knows - but I am still going to go for an Android phone when my contract is up.  This is just not worth dealing with.
