Re: Barcode Reader / Search Engine

[ Edited ]

rredfox -

I just found this program called scanlife that works ok on the storm.  It is not storm specific but does install and works ok. It works good on QR (matrix barcodes - that Japanese often utilize) but not so great with upc barcodes - at least from my experience.   I know you were looking for a upc barcode scanning program as am I but the scanlife is the only thing I have found so far. I just posted a new thread question on this so maybe someone has some new information on when a Storm specific program is coming out.

Re: Barcode Reader / Search Engine

ugh...the best apps we can get are "barcode reader" apps?...Ok, blackberry; it is time to get that app store going, because I am ready to play some games on this thing!  It is obvious that from playing "tiltrus"; the accelerometer works very well and you can do a lot with it, but some of these apps are putting me to sleep.

Re: Apps

The Slacker apps seems to be very nice.. can you explain how the caching works... I want to store the songs on and select what I want to play from the cache of 100 songs.

Re: Talklock

I have to access my calendar alot when I am on the phone - does it allow you to unlock and use other apps or do you have to hang up the call?

yes you can unlock the phone, do your stuff, then lock it again. All that while talking to your correspondent.
