Apps

When I exchanged my Blackberry and the info was transferred to the new phone, I was told that the apps. would have to be reloaded.  How do I do this w/o incurring the costs again?

Re: Apps

Did you back up yoour old phone before receiving the new one?   Apps should be in backup.  If you did, just go to restore in desktop manager and restore your last backup.. This should reload all your apps and whatever else was on phone during last back up..  I'm guessing this can be done with a new phone. I'm not 100% sure but it's worth a look.....

Good Luck!!!

Re: Apps

@highrange--A routine Desktop Manager > Backup does not backup your third party applications.

To perform a backup of your third party applications, follow this instructional:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-software/91912-how-backup-restore-all-installed-3rd-party-apps.h...

Using Switch Device Wizard in the Desktop Manager will backup and restore third party apps to the new device.

@randcapple -  If you lost apps for which you paid for and or have a license registration, contact the developer or where you purchased the applicaiton. Some developers sell the license for ONLY the device, and the license is tied to the PIN of the BlackBerry. Some of the licenses are a 'personal' license, and are transferable from BlackBerry to BlackBerry. You need to contact the developer(s).
