When I try to use BBmaps on my storm, I get a message saying that my device is not configured for BIS or BES. Today I have spent over two hours in my local Vodafone shop to try and rectify this. After may calls from the shop to Vodafone technical. I am told that yes, I am BIS registered, it is on my account, and that BBmaps is not a Vodafone product, and would have to speak to RIM. They want my credit card to give me an answer.
Anyone else with this problem?

Hi turbojack
Tried that, now I have two copies on my BB and the second one (the one I downloaded) wont even load.

Your carrier will deny this is a problem but if they are like Verizon they have likely blocked BBMaps for an offering that they provide.
I would suggest asking them if they offer a mapping solution for your Storm and I am certain they will oblige...

BB maps does work on verizon & verizion does support BB maps. We have a total of 4 storms, Mine is the only one BB maps is not working on. After trying all kinds of things like wiping handheld, removing and adding BB maps thru Desktop manager, reinstalling OS I still could not BB maps to work. After being on the phone with Verizon tech support the level 2 tech guy was stumped and he authorized me to get a new BB storm which I should have Tuesday.
My next guess would be to remove bb maps thru desktop manager & see what happens then.

I spent over two hours in a Vodafone store. They were very helpful, but could not find a solution. The guy in the store had BBmaps on his BB working ok. I was told it is a RIM problem as they do not support the software.
Think I am going round in circles.
Vodafone even tried to load their Find and Go Nav software, but that would not run. I would like BBmaps to work rather than the Vodafone one.
I have tried removing BBmaps and reinstalling in various ways, still no joy.
