Battery draining so fast!

A year ago, I got a 9550 storm 2. I have never experienced any issue until last week. I traveled, and I have been using it normally. But I cannot get why is the battery draining so fast. The reason of this, I think, is that the device gets so hot, even if I am not using it...

I have:

-pulled out the battery several times

-Deleted everything (photos, videos, SMS, messages...)

-turned WI-fi off

-turned Bluetooth off

-used the same charger i got with the phone

-Closed all the applications running on the device

-Got the lowest screen brightness

Thanks in advance for any help! Smiley Happy

Re: Battery draining so fast!

Hi gudencio and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!

If you hold down your menu key, which applications appear in the Application Switcher window?

Thanks.

Re: Battery draining so fast!

Hello,

I just bought a new 9520 and experienced the same problem.

My battery won't last for 1 working day.

What do you mean with holding down the menu key??

Is it the key with the BB logo?

In that case I see Browser; Messages; Startscreen and Phone

Besides that it is not possible for me to charge the Storm while active.

I need to shut the phone down. (very odd)

I discovered (too late) that the 9520 that  I bought on the free market is a Vodaphone telephone.

I use KPN in the Netherlands as a provider.

Could this be also a root cause of draining the battery? (roaming)

Could you please give me some advise??

Thank you and very kind regards,

Jos
