Blackberry App world problem on 9520

Hi all, hopefully someone can help me with this problem as otherwise I don't have a smartphone, just a basic phone.

The problem is, the application list shows Blackberry App world as being installed, but the icon appears nowhere on the handset, and when I have removed and re-installed, or even removed and then tried to install it via the phone browser, an error message saying the item cannot be loaded comes up.

Have asked a mobile phone repair shop to see if they can see anything, and they say the same, although it sees there is an app world app, the phone does not display or even allow you to download anything.

What else can I do please?

Thank you

Options > Advanced > Applications.

Is it in the list as installed?

Re: Blackberry App world problem on 9520

  • How do you know it will not allow things to be downloaded, if you can't find and use the icon?
  • Do you have THE BlackBerry Data Plan on your mobile provider account?

Lost icon:

1. On your homescreen, press the Menu key > SHOW ALL, so that SHOW ALL is checked.
2. Look in EACH folder on your device... Applications, Instant Messengers, Downloads, etc.

Re: Blackberry App world problem on 9520

That is a fair enough question, the actual way I have done it is to go into Blackberry app world via the phone browser, and from there it will not allow me to download, because although it does show installed, it does not show up anywhere, even when removing and reinstalling via Blackberry desktop manager.
Yes I have the Blackberry data plan and all the hosting tables are as they should be.

Any luck on this?

If not:

On your Manage Connections screen, click on the Services Status.
What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?
