BlackBerry® Storm™

Hi All,

I have managed to download and install the Google sync app for the Storm, and when it loads, I can enter my username for google but cannot move the cursor down to the password field to enable me to enter the password.  The screen, no matter where I touch it won't respond.

Is there a keyboard shortcut for the Storm to tab down?

Hi and welcome to the forums,

Are using the Internet browser or the Blackberry browser? The Blackberry browser is designed for use with intranet's

on a BS setup. Try switching to the Internet Browser, and see if you can logon.

Hi Bifocals,

Thanks for the response.  However I don't think it is a browser problem as the configuration settings you kindly provided are correct.  I am able to download the Google Sync app and install it, but when I load the app I get:

Username:

Password:

I am freely able to type in the username but then can't click/tab/move down to the password field to then enter the password.  Incidentally this app doesn't rotate into Landscape on the Storm when you turn it!

Sorry, I thought you were logging into the web site.

Do you have to click on the user name box, type your name, then click

to exit, Then scroll to password, click on password box, enter password, click to exit, then click login?

Hi!

No worries.  I can only do the 1st part of clickingon the username field and typingmy username.  From here it doesn't allow me to exit this field - to then click on the password field.  Very weird.

Hi, I have installed google sync and can log in no problem.

click on email text box and enter details

click on password text box and enter details

press menu key select hide keyboard

click on sign in button.

How did you install google sync on the storm?  Everytime I goto the m.google.com./sync it tells me my phone is not supported ie. the storm?

Sorry, the problem was that my browser was set as Internet Explorer and not blackberry!..Sorry for the hassle.

Hi All,

Well after speaking to various techy people in Vodafone, Google & Blackberry they were stumped.  Then all of a sudden the Storm's screen froze and nothing I could do would make it work.  Then I remembered what I would have done if I were  providing 1st line support, which is the standard response of - reboot and call us back if the problem continues....

I took the battery out, back in and all was working a lot quicker - and even Google Sync app now allows me to enter the password information in the password field.  So duh!  When in doubt, back to basics....

I just can't get Google Sync to work with the Storm.  I finally gave in and tried CompanionLink, which a number of blogs recommended.  It works great!
