Blackberry Storm charging issues!!! please help!

Hi, I just bought an unlocked blackberry storm and at first the phone was working alright but the battery drained completely and now when I charge it, it goes to the white screen with the blue lightning bolt and stays there for about 20 minutes then shows the clock and loads up the blackberry and goes onto the page with the clock and then the home page with the red battery and the yellow lightning bolt flashing, but keeps on repeating this process, it keeps shutting itself off and showing the white screen and then to clock, etc....Even if I don't touch it, it just keeps doing that, is it actually charging or is the phone faulty?! Please help me!!!

Re: Blackberry Storm charging issues!!! please help!

It's hard to say at this point, but this is what I'd suggest.  First off, ensure the phone is plugged into an OEM (BlackBerry) wall charger.  Other chargers have been known to create problems when the charge drops too low.  Then try charging it for a few hours.  Is there any improvement?  If not, the next step is to remove the battery from the phone for a minute, then reinsert it.  While the battery is out, ensure that all of the contacts on the phone and the battery look clean.  Sometimes removing the battery will fix charging issues.

If none of that works, the next step is to try a different battery.

Barring all of that, you may be wanting to contact the seller and let them know that the phone is faulty.  If they are a respectable seller, they will take the phone back.
