When I sync my calendar from Outlook 2003 to my BB Storm, recurring events change times on the BB and annual events (birthdays, etc.) are moved ahead one day. Windows, Outlook, and BB are all set to the same time zone. Example, dance class at 6:05 p.m. is now at 1:05 p.m. on a recurring appt. Birthday on the 7th is now showing as the 6th on the BB. Why would this happen?
Also, when I sync my contacts, the set ringtone for specific contacts on the BB is reset back to the default. Sometimes my personal picture set as the home screen is reset back to the default as well. Why would this happen?
I use a 7130 for work and have no issues, but that is run from BB Professional on the server. However, syncing from my personal PC (XP Prof., Outlook 2003) has been a nightmare. I've worked with many models of BBs and am well versed in their functionality, but these issues have me very frustrated.
On another note, I found a workaround with my MSN web account which runs through Outlook Connector to my Outlook. First create a separate local profile. Then export the folders to a new .pst folder resident on the PC. When you make changes in the master folder, open the new .pst folder then copy just your contacts and calendar to this new folder (which is linked to the new profile). Then map to the contacts/calendar in that folder. Little time consuming but works well.
Any help would be appreciated on the other items. Thanks!

Thanks for reviewing my issue. The link you provided had an error so not sure if it was to go to a specific tech support document.
Still need help. Anyone? Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Go to the calendar and open it. Go to general options.
Specify the correct First day of week, as well as start and end times.
Make sure this is reflected as well on Outlook.
Also make sure you go to options data/time and make sure you are in the correct
time zone.
Thanks,
Bifocals

Hi,
First instead of a fancy link or anything pretty, just look directly up at the right top of the screen.
The box marked support is where the broke links were trying to take you, All it really is, is a portal
to the RIM knowledgebase, you still have to content search. While I'm on it, the grey search box upper
left is the practical knowledge base for all the REAL WORLD problems the users have faced and resolved.
Used in conjunction as always, real world to the left, book learning to the right, pretty good resources!
If I need to and you don't mind, I'll just point! ![]()
I have attached potential causes for this. The one that I am leaning toward is a result of
a correct version of the MAPI using to different systems files incorrectly. The other possible explanations
have to to with DST patches, and the times of your events that are crossed don't correlate.
Let me know your thoughts,
Thanks,

P.S. IF you need help just remember LOOK UP then left or right, OK! ![]()
I have the thread set to email me, so just post back. Thanks,

Thanks for the links, but they weren't applicable to my issue. I usually waste way too much time looking for docs on my issues before posting. ![]()
What I ended up doing, was deleting anything prior to 2009. Then for the recurring events, I removed the recurrence, reset the time or date if needed, and then added the recurrence again. This seemed to "tweak" whatever issue was happening and now all is good. Very time consuming, but worth it to have my calendar items correct.
Now, how about the ring tone I assign being removed when I resync my contacts? Any idea?
Thanks!
