Hi,
I've read through the thread but this solution doesn't work for me.
On my Curve9360 I have three contact lists all called DESKTOP
The first list has 15 contacts
The second list has 132 contacts
The third list has 1 contact
None of the contacts are duplicated. When I try to back up the device it only sees contacts from list one so will only back up 15 contacts.
When I try to delete a list by typing rset in the options menu, I get the prompt and choose yes, but it doesn't actually delete the list.
It seems there is no way for me to access the bulk of my contacts (List 2 - 132) by either backing up or syncing.
Also, desktop manager doesn't give me one way sync as an option.
If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks christymj23,
I think I found an even easier flavour to the trick. I replied NO when I was prompted for the Desktop which is currently active (the one that is "syncing wirelessly") and I did not even have to reload the contacs from my exchange server... The normal sync process continued flawlessly for the good desktop, while the unwanted secondary desktop disappeared :-)
Thanks once again.
I wonder, is there a manual/reference for such tricks and shortcuts for BB's, or are they reserved for BB techies only?

I just did what you suggested.. Before i did, i backed up my adress book and then restored it after wiping it with the "rset" trick.. However once i restored my contact list back into my phone all the contact lists i have, came along with it. I currently have five of those when i click on the options of the adress book on my blackberry (two unkown,my yahoo,my gmail and a default one, Each having a different amount of contacts in them) this contact list deal is making it impossible to transfer all my bb contacts into my samsung galaxy s3. What can i do now?
