Desktop Cradle question

Hi folks,

I have a new Desktop Cradle for my Blackberry Storm. I really like it. It's a great little gadget. But.. I'm kinda stuck on something....

I think I am finally getting some songs to play on my Storm. And, those are working just fine. And, I would like to put my Storm in to the desktop cradle while it's playing songs. However, when I do that, I find it quits playing the songs (because it wants to get ready to sync)... even when I do NOT have the desktop software open. So.. what I'm wondering is.. is there a little setting or something that I can set to get my phone to KEEP playing the music even while it's in the cradle?

Thanks!

Re: Desktop Cradle question

Does it show you the clock when you plug it in?
If so go to the clock and  click on the menu then options, make sure that "Do Nothing" is chosen for the setting "When charging".

Re: Desktop Cradle question

Ok, I did that. I changed the clock setting. Then I went in and started playing a folder of songs. But, as soon as I dropped it into the cradle, the song quit playing.

Thanks,

avi

Re: Desktop Cradle question

Ok, I found it.
Just go to the Option icon > choose "memory" > under "auto enable mass storage mode when connected" choose "no" or "prompt"

Re: Desktop Cradle question

Ok, I'll try that. But, doesn't that mean that every time I want to sync my music, I then have to put it back? I think so because I just changed that last night when I sent music over. Hmm... seems kinda quirky yeah?

Re: Desktop Cradle question

It does that for a reason, so both devices can't be trying to edit the content.
I set mine to prompt, so that it just asks when I plug it in.
I can then choose yes or no.
Yes if i plan to sync or no.
