There are many threads regarding media on the Storm. This question is different...
Like many others, I've chosen The Dark Knight to be the first movie loaded on my Storm. The problem is when I try to transfer it to my Storm, Roxio gives me the following alert:
License Acquiaition Required
You require a license to playback this file. Would you like to acquire it now?
"Status: License Acquisition Failed. You will not be able to use this file".
If Roxio plans to fix this issue I can wait. I don't need the movie on my phone tomorrow. But, I want to know if there is a solution to the license acquisition problem using Roxio?
Thanks!

Just was wondering if you found how to watch the digital version on your storm.

i use a program called ImToo DVD Ripper Platinum 5 to rip dvds to my hardrive.
it also allows you to set it to the storm format, mp4 480x360
works on all protected dvd's
i only suggest doing this on dvd's that you have purchased.
If I or another member have helped, be sure to click the KUDOS!!!
If your issue has been solved, please resolve this thread by marking the post which solved it for you!

There is also an FAQ section in this forum that has the subject "(NEW) Digital rights management and the BlackBerry Storm smartphone" but the link is broken.

Excellent feedback. I'd rather not purchase another program. However, it seems the Blackberry has thought about this already.
I now have Widnows Vista (bought a new computer) and will be trying this again tonight or tomorrow with the additonal feedback. My phone's memory already had the recomended settings so crossin gmy fingers.
I'll report back here with the results.

Still not able to do it. The hang up seems to be Roxio. Roxio is simply not able to accomodate the DRM. It looks as if it wants to but fails every time.
