Keep getting an error message from the DTM when trying to upgrade the OS. It says...
"An error has occurred while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists."
My computer is connected to the internet. Don't know what the problem is.
Running Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 (32 bit)
Desktop Manager version 5.0.1

Hi there!
It could be a number of things. Busy internet. Busy RIM site. etc. It might be easier to just DL the update package from your carrier and then install it atop DTM...then DTM will update your BB the next time you tether. You can get your carriers DL package via this portal:
Good luck and let us know!
button inside of their post. Further, if you are the original poster (OP) and your issue is solved, please remember to (on the post that is the solution) click the "Accept as Solution" button so that others can more easily find it. Cheers! Oh...and FWIW...I am not a RIM employee...and these forums are user-to-user...not user-to-RIM.

Thanks for the tip! Worked perfectly. Love the new OS... much more responsive and sleeker than .148.
Cheers!
