Firefox Web Browser - Where to get it?

Hello All,

I have been reading some old threads and a few of them have suggested that Firefox has cured a few of their issues.

They have done this by setting Firefox as their browser on their Blackberry Storm.

I can't find a mobile version of Firefox anywhere.

Could someone please let me know the following:

a) if there is a Firefox mobile

b) where I can download it

Thanks in advance for your help......

Re: Firefox Web Browser - Where to get it?

There is not a FF mobile web browser for the BB.

However, you can emulate the FF browser at Browser > Options > Broswer Configuration > Browser Identification > Firefox.

Many thanks for that, I will give it a go now.

Do you know what this firefox function is for if it's not actually a browser?

It is simply the BB browser emulating FF, telling the website you are accessing that it is FF, so that the website can act accordingly. Websites can be coded to send code that is browser-specific, and if they don't have BB codes, letting the BB emulate FF can potentially help with getting it to display properly on the BB.

Re: Firefox Web Browser - Where to get it?

it's a bit off-topic, but using Firefox on your PC can enhance your browsing experience. you can give it a try on getfirefox.com !
for example, I like it because I use the adblock plugin that will blank all ads.
