GETTING INTERNET IN THE CARIBBEAN

Hi,

I'm currently living in the caribbean and I brought my unlocked Bell Blackberry storm and it is not able to connect to the internet the caribbean service providers offer. Has anyone had this problem. Is there a reason why all my American friends with their AT&T phones are not having this same problem. Are the blackberries configured on a canadian radio frequency different than that of the US?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ashley

Re: GETTING INTERNET IN THE CARIBBEAN

Hi abernotas,

Did you subscriber for BlackBerry data plan? If you have an unlocked device and have BlackBerry data plan from your operator then the device should work. BlackBerry device accepts GSM/UMTS/1X EDVO network all over the world not specific to any country.

Re: GETTING INTERNET IN THE CARIBBEAN

This is a big problem I just bought a BB Torch and I can’t browse the internet or check my mails because my provider (UTS) can’t support the BB TORCH yet!!! That’s just ridiculous
