Re: HOW TO Delete OEM wallpapers to gain 5MB of memory

Has anyone tried Option One?  I can't even figure out how to find files like that on my Storm.  I can search through my emails and texts, but not system files.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

jeff, thanks for your help.  Not being the most adept at all of this, and trying to optimize my Storm, could you go over the process of deleting the wallpapers with java.  I don't have a clue as to the procedures.  Thanks, Allan

Re: HOW TO Delete OEM wallpapers to gain 5MB of memory

some people are having problems doing this so heres how to do it, the easy way:

1. back up storm (highly recommend this to all who have yet to practice this)

2. go into c> program files > common files > research in motion > shared > loader > java > the largest file in there is the sample pix. File name is net_rim_bb_medialoader_backgrounds_360x480_t.cod

3. move this file to another location

4. Run the OS update and you've got 5 more mb
