Hi and welcome to the forums!
There is not a way to disable the mute button or move it.
I would suggest trying this FREE application, multiple users including
myself have found this very helpful.
Basically it locks the screen on a telephone call.
It has a slide release on the screen to unlock with a swipe of your finger.
This will keep you from muting, hanging up, etc. accidentally on calls.
Thanks,

Thanks to Mike Walker for bringing it to the forums!

Talklock has been verified by many sites as having serious memory leak bugs, I had it installed for 4 days and that being the ONLY app installed would cause my sys mem to loose 20mb in 8hrs... If you don't mind a battery pull and a 10 min reboot every 8hrs then talklock is for you.
user beware

Hi Arcnsparks and welcome to the forums!
I had not heard of the memory leak situation that your referred to.
Please post the links to the sites you have seen this on, so we
can read about the situation as well.

The first version of Talklock for the Storm did have a memory leak issue.
They fixed it about 2 or 3 weeks ago and it works like a CHAMP now.
If there's an IT acceptance issue, have them research it, this is a great little app, it's free and it works...
