I can't install the app, because at the end of the installation it sends to me the message: "Coud not access VBScript run time for custom action"
Thanks,
Pedro.

Hi there!
I suggest the following steps (insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots). Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
1) Remove your device OS update package from your PC (add/remove programs)
2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM DTM software:
3) Get a fresh download of the RIM DTM software:
4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your device OS package from your carrier:
5) Install DTM to your PC
6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
7) Start the organizer configuration over:
Hopefully that will get things going again.
Good luck and let us know!

question....If i have already uninstalled the Blackberr Desktop Software through the Control Panel and Add Remove Programs, do I still need to remove the device OS update package from my PC? If so, how do I do that? I need to do the rest of the clean uninstall you have described but had already removed the Desktop Manager before I found your post?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Typically, add/remove programs has separate entries for DTM versus the OS update package. So, if you see it there, then that's where you go to remove it. If you don't see it there, then you never installed it to your PC. Although, I must admit, I've never uninstalled DTM first...I've always uninstalled my OS package first.
Good luck!

I am new to the whole BB thing, so pplease bear with me.....My trouble all started when I tried to update the Desktop Manager to 5.01...When I tried to restart it kept saying the MSI file was missing for Roxio Media Manager. I removed the Balckberry Desktop Manager and the Blackbery Media Sync (?)... But when I restarted my PC after that, it still keeps trying to install the Roxio Media Manger from when I did the update... So I was going to try the clean uninstall that I saw how to do here...but realized I had skipped step 1 and had already done step 2... What would the BB OS update program look like (or be called ) in the add/remove programs list?
Thanks...All help is appreciated.

Well, in add/remove programs, mine says "Blackberry Device Software........". I don't know what your's might say.
