Re: Master reset my blackberry storm 9530 device

To wipe the handheld device on the BlackBerry 9530... go to Options, then scroll down to Security Options... open General Settings... click on the menu key and choose "Wipe Handheld."

Hope that helps.  :-)

Re: Master reset my blackberry storm 9530 device

Not working for my device

Because my blackberry storm 9530 is quite different than anyone else

I don't have the general settings option

I only have the advanced security optionsIf I pushed the menu, it also do not have any wipe handheld options

I only have the "security wipe" options and then it asked me to choose either to wipe email etc, installed apps etc or memory card.

Which menu i should choose for my device which is unique and different compare to anyone else blackberry

Because I want to reset the device back into factory settings but don't know how.

Hello,

Well, this thread is confusing two items. Firstly, WIPE <> RESET TO FACTORY. So, depending on what you truly wish to accomplish, you can follow whatever scenario you desire.

  • This KB describes what the various levels of WIPE perform.

  • This KB decribes how to truly return to factory defaults.

You may proceed as you desire. Good luck.
