In light of the recent thread highlighting the QuickPull (now QuickPull2) application, I thought I'd let you all know about another really great app for the BlackBerry Storm (not yet available for other BlackBerry devices). Like QuickPull, this app will perform a soft reset on your phone when you like, and it can be set for a scheduled reset at any selected time. However, unlike QuickPull, MeterBerry has a whole lot more useful features that let you track the performance of your Storm. Additional features include:
Yes, some of these features are already available on the Storm, but this application brings them all together in one place and adds various other features of interest.
There is a cost associated with this app ($2.95 US), but it's worth it if you really want to know what your phone is doing, and accordingly, I picked up this app for my phone.
Check out the MeterBerry website for more info: http://www.meterberry.com/

SWEET find!!!!! My device memory usually drops from the average 44MB into the teens at end of day. with ZERO apps running... can't figure out why.... Maybe this app will find the leak so I can change what needs to be changed... I have two 3rd party apps, Weather bug and Quick Pull. no 3rd party themes, just the default one. So the memory leak is driving me crazy.. It has to be the .109 im running hope this app will find the memory leak..
Thanks Krypto!!!!!
Ps. I went to order this thing and it's asking for my email pass code???? I will never give that out..... Why does it need this to send app download to phone?

Mobihand, the actual company that manages the sale, requires you to create an account. The part that you're seeing is for returning customers (your username for the account is your email address, while the password is whatever password you setup when you create your account). You'll want to create a new account (it's a quick process and will allow you to return to reaccess your account if you ever need to redownload the app) and then you'll be good to go
. And the good news is that they allow you to pay via PayPal, so your information is even more secure
. And don't worry, I've downloaded a few things via Mobihand, they're a safe retailer.
I'll be keeping an eye to see if this shows on App World, but I haven't seen it just yet.
Hope that helps!

I read your post this morning and decided to unistall weatherbug for the day and see what happens..
Well I still have a massive memory leak somewhere.. the only apps I have on phone now is BB massage, Yahoo msg, the new MeterBerry, and of course the memo, task, calendar, Nothing else No Google talk or AOL,, I have only the 5 main apps running in app ribbon.
I don't keep a phone, email, text log It's deleted after read or called. I have a few calendar events.. Zero in task, and two saved messages, I keep the system log cleared once or twice a day.....So after all of that I start out with around 46 or 47 MB at reboot.. And now it's in the 20's
The new MeterBerry app is shown 4 to 7 MB drop off's within 15 min, might get 2 or 3 back in the next 15 to 30 min.... the log for the day has shown it to do this through out the day...
I can only guess it's the OS I'm running (.109)

I posted this in another thread, but it works here as well so I figured I'd repost it:
I find that the memory leak also depends on the OS you're using. Some are much worse than others. If you're using leaked OSes, you might want to try some other ones to see what you think. I've also found that reloading your phone's operating system (wipe the entire phone first or during the process) can help as some files can sometimes load on incorrectly (they function, but create various problems, including draining the battery too fast or creating a huge memory leak).
Just a suggestion anyhow!

Yep, I would say you should upgrade your os. Today Bell put out there official 122 os release and that could be a possibility. I'm running BBCrackman's 3.5 hybrid with tremendous success, but I also had good results with 113 if you're not up for a hybrid.
I know weatherbug is an issue as has been documented in many places and from personal experience. If you don't want to pay for BerryWeather, you could also try BBWeather by Tateu, which you could find BB Forums. Try the alpha, it's great.
Anyway, good luck
