Downloaded the new desktop software ver 7. will not complete sync just states processing sync preview. Had to remove old version and add new ver 7 would not update automatically.

Same issue here. Blackberry found a way to make my processing even slower.

Same problem here: hangs up at "Preparing sync preview" with the "Progressing" icon circling endlessly. Then will not shut down with cancel; have to use a forced shutdown. I has not synced. Everything worked fine until the update Version 5.0 Bundle 1206 downloaded yesterday. What is the fix? Any way to go back to old version?

Same for me. New sync download not working. It takes a great deal of time and then it gets locked up as noted by the others. In fact, it locked up my computer too. To the folks at BlackBerry, this is beyone frustratining and is really rather unacceptable. Please let us know what to do. IMMEDIATELY.

What I learned last evening, in case you don't know to do this:
I placed a phone call to BB (RIM). They told me to contact my phone carrier so as to halt BB tech help charges. My carrier is Verizon. I got lucky. The CSR that picked up my call at Verizon in Chandler AZ was super great and patient. He told me that Verizon had "flag" notifications since last week that 7.0 a problem. He stayed on the phone with me, because technology challenged is my middle name, and he helped me uninstall 7.0 and reinstall 6.1. 57 minutes later I was back in business for my computer and my BB Storm speaking to each other again. Amen to that whole scenario.

Uninstalling the 7.0 and reinstalling the 6.1 works. You definitley need to unistall first for it to work.

So are you folks at Blackberry (I know you are reading the forums) so embarrassed you just stay silent and hope the problem you created goes away on its own?? Where can we get an official response? Like when the fix will come and all the specific actions we must take to fix it in the interim?
