the BlackBerry website.  You absolutely have to uninstall 7.0 first.

I was notified of a supposed fix from BlackBerry which I downloaded, but it didn't fix the problem.  Still goes all through the process then freezes at "preparing sync preview."  RIM - would you just make 6.1 available again and let us delete 7.0.  This is getting ridiculous!!!

After you unistall it. go to the blackberry website and click on Blackberry Smartphone. Select your device and then download the software. It automatically downloaded the 6.1 . They must have removed the 7.0.

Received notice on my BlackBerry that an Update was available to "fix the problem."  Downloaded and installed it, but didn't fix it.  Still goes all the way through the sync process and then freezes at "Preparing sync preview" and won't even cancel (have to force).  RIM - this is getting ridiculous; send us 6,1 and forget 7.0 - - at least 6.1 worked.'

Yes, uninstalling 7.0 and reinstalling 6.1 from BlackBerry website fixes the problem!!!  Finally!!!!  Thanks for the help!
