If you're a Mac user, I think you can use Pocketmac to sync your Blackberry with your Mac. Here's the link.

I pulled battery and then did upgrade from the desktop and it went very well. Still no answer on the media manager being greyed out to prevent swapping photo/video files between phone and computer. am on the phone with Verizon/blackberry for that.

jseville,
Did you ever get the above issue straightened out with Verizon? I was hoping you could let me know what information they provided. Is this a feature that Verizon decided to block?? They're notorious for this, and they blocked multiple features for the Motorola Razr V3m. I really hope they didn't do the same with the BlackBerry Storm. Their practice of doing this seems downright unethical.
Anyway, I'll reel myself back in from my rant. Any information you can provide regarding the greyed out options, would be most appreciated. TIA.

The media manager is also greyed out on my Desktop Manager software. When I loaded the Desktop manager software on to my PC, my hard drive was near capacity thus the reason the Roxio Media Manager software was not installed. I find it hard to believe that Verizon would block this feature from being installed. There is a work around to this problem if you would like to copy or move files to and from your PC to your Storm or from your Storm to your PC. Select "Yes" to, "Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode when Connected to your PC" via Optioins/Memory...problem solved.
