Can anyone please help.....

To add to Xandrex' comments, you should also note that there are no official releases available for Verizon phones at this point in time (the version you have is the last version). We're still going to be waiting a little while longer.

Cool... I was told that the .75 version was the inital release version. This post indicated that there is a newer version out there and various posts within this area indicate that .103 may be the newest. The phone itself is OK but is very sluggish and the camera is worthless unless you plan on holding it on the picture for 30 seconds....
Thanks for everyones input.....

If I recall correctly, Verizon has shipped Storm 9530 devices with .65 and then with .75

there is an official .76 (Telus ?)
apart from that, all other OS you can find are underground and for bold hackers.
Yup, the Canadian carriers (Telus and Bell) are on .76.
And I'm in agreement with Xandrex. Stick with the official OSes if you can. Lots of Storm users have tried the unofficial OSes and in my own personal experience, while the official OSes might be a bit slower, they are still more stable than the others. The good news though is that it looks like RIM is getting close to having a version that will become the next official OS.

Guys and girls...
Yesterday I popped into the Blackberry store - right here in Johannesburg, South Africa - apparently it's THE only Blackberry store in the world. (i found that kindof strange?) Anyway I had a chat with the dude there, a so-called Blackberry "expert" who told me that actually there is no "official" device software upgrade available yet...v4.7.0.78 IS the latest software available for the Storm (in our country anyway) and I shouldn't pay any attention to "Leaks" and Crackberry and-and-and y'all know where I'm going with this...so based on INFORMED and knowledgeable advice from an indisputably reliable source I'm just gonna sit tight and wait...
He actually has the upgrade from RIM in his hands but isn't allowed to give it out as the network operator is still testing it out. Yes i begged and pleaded and grovelled but to no avail....

I don't suppose he told you the software release number that he had... did he??
