Windos,
I realize that.
But customer satisfaction (or disatisfaction) can often motivare a company to escalate resolutions to their complaints.
In this case, Verizon needs to be seriously poking RIM to get a stable Verizon release out there sooner rather than later.
Email and phone complaints to Verizon does help acomplish that.

Well this is a forum, it's not email, not phone, not customer service either. It's a community forum.

I think pressuring Verizon or RIM to release the software WOULD BE A LOSE LOSE!
Do you think they delay just to be annoying? I can imagine the discussion between developers and executives, I've attended a few. The executives represent "pressure" such as yours, they want the blow back to stop. The developers have good reasons why they think their software is not ready and needs more work.
Pressure is not a good thing and it results in premature releases.
It is also, as Xandrex pointed out, a pointless waste of everyones time. I fervently hope that the software is released when it is technically ready and not to solve a political problem. Would you ask an airplane pilot to take risks for your schedule? Maybe, but that is not the sane thing.

Yes, feedback and help in prioritizing is a good thing.
Politicizing it by putting pressure on the vendor isn't. It really is a case of being careful what you wish for. Often fixing a bug is more harmful than letting it be. It really is like flying a plane, often what the developer is dealing with in making their choices are not obvious to those "outside the cockpit".
Letting folks know what it's like on the ground is helpful. Getting too vested in timing, not so much. As I said, absolutely nobody wants to delay for its own sake.
Often delays occur (and I think this might even be the case) when new bugs show up and it is decided to delay a release to take in recent realizations.

I stopped by a Des Moines Verizon store today.
The Tech told me that he had been told that the new software for the Storm should be released about the 20th of this month.
He agreed that it was long over due!
I guess one might surmise that is also about the time they will be opening their new APP store.

The last rumor for a new official Verizon release that I got from a Verizon Tech was around the 20th of this month.
