My Storm 2 stopped charging with the wall and car adapter, but will charge with the computer using the USB port. I replaced the battery, but still no change. Can anyone enlighten me on how to fix this?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Given what you describe, I would not suspect your BB nor your battery, but rather your wall and car chargers themselves. To test, you need to obtain access to another BB and try those chargers with it and see what happens. Also, obtain another known good wall and/or car charger and try it with your BB...see what happens.

I forgot to mentioned that I had purchased new chargers and they did not work either.

Hmmm...well, in the strictest sense, "new" does not necessarily equal "known good"...but, having bought two, it might lend more credence to the argument. Nevertheless, to fully vet out the issue, you would need to do all that I recommended earlier. It would be an extremely odd situation for the PC/USB charge method to work but not the others. Extremely odd indeed.

Thanks for your input. I did try two new batteries that did not make a difference. I have tried 2 know working wall chargers and 2 known working car chargers. Did not make a difference. It is only charging with the USB only. So if anyone else has a different suggestion, I would apprecaite it.

Sorry...I realize you now wish to move on from my suggestions. But you do realize, don't you, that doing what you say you have done only completes half of what I recommended?

Maybe I'm not understanding what you have recommended.  You recommended  "To test, you need to obtain access to another BB and try those chargers with it and see what happens. I have tried (4) known working chargers on my Blackberry, I have had Verizon and Radio Shack check my charging equipment. I have used the same chargers on a different type of phone. The chargers are working properly. I have confirmation.  Again I appreciate your recomendations, but if there is more that I haven't done that you have suggested, then maybe there is something that you have suggested that I'm just not seeing.

No...the only thing new is what you have just now revealed in this post -- the details you have now provided are new to this thread, and there was no way I could have previously known that information. The only small detail is the bit about using the same chargers "on a different type of phone"...that's not as exact as using them on another BB (preferably, a known good identical model to yours). But, I will take your word that the chargers themselves have been confirmed to be properly functioning.

The recommendations I was giving were designed to try and rule out as many possible causes as possible, so that the range of causality could be narrowed...the new information you have now provided results in that narrowing of possibilities.

Sadly, you are left with a very very strange situation indeed. One that I've never seen nor heard of before.
