Phantom black lines

"Phantom" black lines have appeared on my screen and are present at all times in all apps.  I have rebooted and "wiped" the phone but no help.  Any ideas?

Can you describe further these black lones on the screen? Where, what angles?

There are two parallel lines about one third of the way from the top of the screen  about a half inch long.  Like I hit the underline button a couple of times.  They are constant on all screens.

If you do this: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

 

Do they remain?

Yes. I have tried the battery removal reset and the memor wipe from the options menu.  the lines reman.

How old is the device, you very well may want to exchange it at your carrier.

I have a problem like this my self.  Is this warrantable?  I just charged my 9550 phone today and this line appered on top of my screen!  I cant believe it.   Any suggestions?

this has happened to me i av only had the phone 2 days is there any way to fix this or do you have to exchange the handset
