Printing of Text messages

I have a text message thread that is very important to me. How can I export it, or another method so that I may be able to print it or save it?

Re: Printing of Text messages

if i am not wrong, you can "Set Conversation Name" and will be able to add it to your contact list?

I do not have "set conservation name" as any choice or option that I can find.

Re: Printing of Text messages

Resobon.

With that text message open press your Menu key > Forward As > Email.
Receive the email on your PC and print it.

Re: Printing of Text messages

I have no idea how setting the Conversation Name will help you to print it.

Re: Printing of Text messages

Thank you. I have attempted this fix and it does not work. If I place my cursor in he last message sent or recieved spot, that is the only thing that gets sent. If I place it in the text spot, all that gets sent is the contact info for the other person. Any other idea? I am desperate.

Re: Printing of Text messages

Ok, I see you need the entire thread. My solution only forwards the one message.

Your best solution for that will be to export your SMS messages as a backup file and then extract those messages from the backup file on your PC and print them.

There are a couple of options for extracting and viewing data from a the backup files.

1. The IPD Parse macro is designed to read a Blackberry IPD file and create reports in MSWord or MSExcel. It is free, and you can find out more here: https://sites.google.com/site/ipdparse/home
For .bbb backup files, use this macro to extract seven "primary" IPD files (Address Book, Calendar, SMS Messages, Tasks, Memos, PIN Messages and Phone Call Logs)
IPD bbb Extract macro https://sites.google.com/site/ipdbbbextract
These IPD files can subsequently be used as inputs to the other macro, IPD Parse, to produce reports.

2. Another options is MagicBerry from MenaStep... which extract from a backup IPD or BBB file, split IPD files, etc. http://menastep.com/pages/magicberry.php

3. Another IPD and BBB file utility is BlackBerry Backup Extractor, and is available for PC and Mac, and can be found here: http://www.blackberryconverter.com/ There is a free and paid version.
