Putting files onto the media card

Hi,

I have a blackberry storm and have a 1GB (going to get a bigger one soon though) microSD card.  The Blackberry is set up and sees the card (shows in the bottom of the memory options screen) and I have formatted it in the Storm.  However, i can't seem to transfer any files to it.  I have some music and videos I want to get on the Blackberry, but whatever I transfer seems to go directly onto the device memory, and doesn't allow me to select either memory card or device.  I don't have a MicroSD card reader, so I am trying to use it connected to my PC via the usb (this works on the Curve 8310)

Any Ideas?

Re: Putting files onto the media card

On the BlackBerry go into Options | Media Card. Recommended media settings are as follows:

Media Card support : ON
Encryption Mode : NONE
Mass Storage Support : ON
Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected : YES

Mass Storage mode allows your BlackBerry to act as an extra drive when connected to your PC. So it will show up as an extra drive letter in Windows Explorer. So you can just drag/drop media files onto your media card
