Re: Latest OS level

Hi to all on Forum,

When a comment about the "Latest Production OS level" was made, What is the most recent? and "Would I find the OS level under OPTIONS- then About tab? I'm not sure if the one I have is OK for right now.

If I'm in the right section it says (BB 9530)  Smartphone (3G, CDMA) v4.7.0.75) Platform 4.0.0.94

Sincerely,  Timwa100                                  Thanks for help on this matter!!

Re: Latest OS level

You have the latest official (production) release.

You can also go to Option>Advanced Options>Wireless Upgrade> click Check for Upgrades... if it tells you that none are available, then you're on the latest version available OTA.

Re: Latest OS level

.75 is the latest Official. We are waiting on a Verizon release for another OS that enhances the quality of the current OS. Hopefully soon it will come. But Verizon is on the top of there game. They dont wont to release something that will dissatisfy there customers, so there probably waiting for the Golden Build.
Phone 1: Blackberry Storm 9530 (Verizon)
Phone 2. Blackberry Curve 8900 (T-Mobile)
Brand New Phones: 3 Blackberry Storms and 1 Blackberry Curve 8330. See where my addiction takes me? :smileyhappy:

Please check your sources. Latest is .76 at Telus.

Hi Xandrex,

Thanks too for your info! I'm trying to consider all the sources, and some are saying that there is a (.103) and (.109).

Anyway, just wondering, Thanks!!

Sincerely, Timwa100

everything that is superior to .76 is "non-official".

Re: Latest OS level

.103 and .109 are indeed both leaked and "unofficial versions."  I also just realized that the most recent version available is actually .100 for the Vodafone Greece 9500.  No other carrier has yet provided an update after the .75/.76 release.

Re: Latest OS level

you are so right Krypto. are you planning a trip over there? Heard the olives are very tasty. Here is the name of the file :

9500_omadrmEuropean_PBr4.7.0_rel141_PL4.0.0.124_A4.7.0.100_Vodafone_Greece.exe

which means :
- it is available only for Storm 9500 (and not 9530)
- the OS is 4.7.0.100
