It may be toast... I think you are just one of the lucky ones.
Visit this website. There are steps to try to start over. You may need to just wipe everything and try starting over with the .72 load. Something sounds corrupt. If that doesn't work you can always get a replacement.

If it is related to a 3rd-party app that I downloaded, possibilities include Google Maps and Google Sync. I guess I could try deleting them and see if the resetting/rebooting stops happening. If I do and discover anything useful, I'll try to remember and return here to document it. If interested, email me at[removed personal info]. Or leave a comment on the blog article mentioned above.

Ditto just the same problem as you, its my 3rd storm and I am getting really terribly upset about this. Its time consuming and really making me quite faithless in the storm. Hope you got it sorted.
Hi there!
This is a known (and random, for the most part) issue. Reports from beta-land are that the leaked updates have improved this (and many other things) greatly. We all wait anxiously for the next formal release -- though we know not when that shall be.

Further, if you are the original poster (OP) and your issue is solved, please remember to (on the post that is the solution) click the "Accept as Solution" button so that others can more easily find it. Cheers! Oh...and FWIW...I am not a RIM employee...and these forums are user-to-user...not user-to-RIM.
