Hi, I'm new to the forum so hope I'm on the right board. My Storm 9500 has had a "catastrophic assertion failure" and is completely unusable. I regularly backed up the device in my desktop application so my contacts list is on my computer somewhere. Any idea's how I can retrieve it without a blackberry device to connect to the computer?

The challenge is, that the backup file extension is ".ipd" and can't be viewed using default windows applications. Here's a like for a nice one: http://www.downloadatoz.com/abc-amber-blackberry-converter/read-blackberry-ipd-file-on-pc.html
