Some Calendar items not in sync between Outlook 07 and 4.7 Desktop Manager

I have noticed since I am new to the blackberry world with a stormThat after my initial sync there are several items missing in my calendar in outlook but not on the blackberryNo these are not out of date items but current and future itemsI also have a ton of duplicatesI am almost positive this is my fault, during its first sync I feel I may have not read thouroughly what it was asking my and I put the tiny little check in the box to apply to all. Since then I had tried uninstalled and reinstalled 4.7 desktop manager hoping it would just start from scratch again, not so much thoughAs of recently I had just formated and reloaded my laptop due to other reasons not related, and again I was hoping to see an option to restore these calendar items back to outlook but I ended with just another epic fail pointBlackberry 3 Joe 0....  I am sure there is an easy fix to this, I am assuming something I told the desktop manager software on day 1 relayed a flag to the phone on some specific items not to syncPlease help this has caused me some major issues as I have to rely on my calendar as a General Manager in a fast paced industry

Hi and welcome to the forums!

 

You have a correct calendar on the Storm.

Your Outlook calendar has duplicates and missing items.

Is this correct?

 

Get a good backup of the Storm before you lose the correct calendar.

 

Can you manually delete the duplicates, or are there too many?

Are the missing appointments related as in recurring events?

How many are there?

There are a lot of duplicate items, those I can deal with I delete them day to day, the other items are a mix it seems all of the recurring items such as birthdays are gone. But there are several nonrecurring events that appear to be missing.  Its hard to say how many or what the common denominator is on them.

Hi,

Hope you took time to backup the Storm, it'll keep your days from getting worse!

 

The link attached is for a software program that will read a Blackberry backup file

and restore the data to Outlook. Basically we clear the Outlook calendar and write

the device calendar to it. This is the cleanest way I know to proceed.

Please look it over and let me know your thoughts.

Have you used this "ABC" software before.  Its not very clear.  I can see the items from the backup file OK but this is showing quadruple calendar items which I don't have an issue with now but I am guessing if I export this to outlook I will.  The only work around I see is to sit here for 8 hours and select 1 item per group. 

 

The above issue could be because of my backup.  When I use 4.7 and create a backup of my storm it fails every time it gets to the browser section of the backup.  So I selected advanced backup and transferred each section manually.  There is something with the browser that makes the backup fail even by this process.

 

Any suggestions on creating a proper backup without the error message. "Error Backing Up Database"
